Dinosaurs

Mr. Aiden called me Friday night and asked if I was busy Saturday. Of corse not!! He informed me he was coming to see me and would be at my house at 11:00!
How on earth could I say "no" to that!!!

When Aiden got to town we had to feed the little guy, so it was off to Golden Corral.
After a tastey meal of corn on the cob, potatoes, french fries, and salad, Aiden said he was full.
Daddy went and got him a little icecream with cookie crumbs on top since he ate good.
I went and got a little dessert too, and this included a sprinkle-covered fudge ball.
I took one bite (and thats all I got!), because Aiden saw this delightful treat on my plate and asked if he could have a bite....
Being the Awsome Aunt that I am, I let him have the whole thing!!!

After lunch Timmy, Jessica, Aiden, and I headed for the
Sternberg for the afternoon.
We were paying for our admission and the following conversation occured:
Cashier: "How old are you?" (to Aiden)
Aiden: "I'm three"
Cashier: "3 year olds are free"
Aiden: "It takes a long time to get to 4!"
He was so serious and matter of fact! It made me laugh!!

Aiden is showing us how big he is next to the dinosaur bones.

Aiden and Mommy show us  how tall they are!

Aiden never saw himself glow under a black light before.
He was really funny! He was looking all around, and even had to
lift up his shirt to completely check things out!!!!

Aiden and Daddy are showing each other how big their feet are,
compared to the bones of a dinosaur behind them!

Aiden and Mommy are digging for fossils.

The little Palentologist.

Aiden thought this bone was cool because it had spikes on it!

The Discovery Room has lots of neat things to do, including lots of cool critters to look at.
Aiden didn't want to do the cool things or look at the cool critters....
he wanted to build!!! LOL!

Aiden did eventually decide to check out the critters.

Before leaving the Discovery Room, he had to sit on the giant spider!

Aiden and Aunt Amanda checking out the big T-Rex

You may have noticed there weren't many pictures of Aiden next to the Giant African Dinosaurs.
It seems that when you give a 3 year old a sprinkle-covered fudge ball he runs around like crazy
and does not cooperate very well for pictures!! Really, Aiden was well behaved at the museum.

MY MATRONS

This past weekend I got to see 2 of my girlfriends! They aren't just any 'ol girlfriends...they are my best friends! We have known each other since college (that's a long time)! Through the years we have gone through so much together, have grown together, and left lasting impressions on each other's hearts! I consider these girls family...they are kinda like my sisters!!

I have always wanted them to play a special part in my wedding, when that day comes. I thought a lot about these ladies and how each could be with me on that day. There was really only one choice...to make both of them my Matrons of Honor!!!

Below are pictures and the stories of how I asked each to be my Matron of Honor.

Lac and I have always teased each other about being each other's "cake-cutter". I have always told her she would get that "special" job when I got married. I wanted to have a unique and fun way to ask her to be my Matron. I found a butter knife and tied a really pretty bow around it and boxed it up for her, and included a special note in the box...............
She opened the box and said "It's a knife, what am I going to do with a knife?"

Lac looked through the box for more clues....
Then put it all together...her expression was priceless!

She exclaimed: "Its a cake knife...I'm your cake cutter!!!
The moment was perfect...better than what I expected.

Lac found the note that read "IT WOULD BE MY HONOR IF YOU WOULD CUT MY
CAKE, BUT ONLY IF YOU SAY "NO" TO BEING MY
MATRON OF HONOR!"

She said YES! (to being my Matron of Honor) :)

Becca, and her husband Jason, were with me the day I met Tim. They have been
with me on this new and exciting journey, and Bec has had this intuition all along
that Tim and I would be perfect together!

I wanted to ask Becca in a fun, creative way, also.
I found a small box, put a ring pop in it, with a little note.
Becca didn't see this coming! She was so confused....
until she saw her note...
"WILL YOU BE MY MATRON OF HONOR?"
She nearly cried! Then I nearly cried!

It is going to be such a HUGE honor to have these wonderful ladies stand with me on my wedding day! I am really looking forward to sharing my special day with these ladies!

yummy fun

It's been kinda exciting around here the past couple weeks.
I finally got my new VitaCraft cookware last week. I've been getting used to it.
The first night I made a chicken patti and mixed veggies. I let the patti cook too long, though.
The second night I made a skillet dinner, and did better with it.
The thing I love is that the food looks and tastes AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Tim even thought his mixed veggies tasted great!
I can tell we will be eating healthier!

Last weekend was Tim's birthday. I went to Salina to help him celebrate! His mom made an
amazing meal, and I got to meet his aunt and uncle and see his family again. I really enjoyed the weekend!

Today Tim had an interview with Hess Corp. This is the company he would really like to work for.
He felt good about how the interview went, and we should know something in a week or so.
I am so proud of all that he has done. He has really been working hard to find a job.
We keep praying and trusting that God is and has created a great job for Tim, and
that the door will be opened at just the right time!

Happy 34!

This past weekend Tim and I went home. While there we celebrated
Tim's birthday. Mom has been teachin Aiden the birthday
song, and we got to hear how well he could sing it!!

Tim opening his gift from Aiden and I.

Every time I go home I have to stack blocks with Aiden. I usually end up stacking them
and Aiden will knock them down with his race cars.
This time he wanted to stack the blocks by himself. He did a really
great job. His towers were pretty tall!!!

Another one of our highlights this weekend was racing cars with Aiden. He had the Hot Wheel
track all set up for us when we got home!! Aiden has a pretty neat set up...he has ramps, a tunnel, and
even a loop-de-loop!!

Paid off

I was paying bills tonight and had one last bill to pay....SallieMae. I logged on to see how much more I had left. I've been out of school for 7 years and have paid on this thing for what seems like FOREVER! Well, tonight, I am so happy to say I am PAID OFF!!!!!!!!!  !!!!!! :)

Now I get to put that money towards something else. It feels so good to have this debt paid off!

FREE gifts!!

Who doesn't like a free gift? I went to the bridal fair a few weeks a go and signed up for anything and everything. Quite frankly I don't remember every booth. I got a call from Celebrity Chinaware. I won toasting glasses for my wedding!!!! I was pretty excited (one less thing for us to purchase).

One catch, though..and there's always a catch. :) Tim and I had to go pick out a china pattern!! Actually we had to listen to their sales pitch and then we could pick up our stemware.

We went and we fell in love with their line of cook ware. I fell in love with it because of the ease of cooking and it all stacks inside of itself for easy storage..something this girl needs! I think Tim was excited because he's gonna get some really great meals out of the deal!! With our purchase we got to pick 2 free gifts. We picked a set of steak knives and a kitchen set.

THEN we got to upgrade our toasting glasses!! I let Tim pick out what set he wanted.
Our free kitchen set and knives..I'm so excited to start slicing and dicing with these!!

Our upgraded toasting glasses! I love them!! They are so pretty...
Tim did such a great job picking these out!

I'm just waiting for our set of pans to arrive in the mail.

Valentine's weekend

Tim and I were able to spend the weekend before Valentine's Day together. I tried out a couple new recipes on him, including SWEETHEART DESSERT! It was strawberry cheesecake topped with chocolate and strawberries, dusted with sugar...it was so yummy!! It was definately a hit with Tim!

Celebration had a dinner/dance on Saturday night so we thought that would be fun to go to. It was something different for us to do together, and we had a great time together. We don't dress up too often, so we had to make sure and take a picture!! :)

We kept things simple this year for Valentine's day gifts. I've always said I don't like this holiday and didn't want to make a huge deal out of it. Tim did such a wonderful job of honoring my wishes!!

These beautiful roses came on Valentine's day! I was working, and was absolutely suprised!
I didn't expect it at all. Tim said he picked them out himself, and thought the arrangment wasn't too over the top. I thought it was perfect; especially since he put so much thought into it!!
