Christmas fun

Christmas break is going fast! It has been so nice to just relax and really not know what day it is! I've taken many naps, played with lots of Aiden's Christmas toys, and also played cars and trucks with Aiden!! Aiden is speaking in complete sentences, which is tons of fun! Some of the things he says are hilarious!! Here are a few fun pictures of things we have done this week....

Aunt Amanda and Aiden spent the afternoon decorating a "Ginger-man's" house!! Aiden did great decorating the house, until papa showed Aiden he could eat the candies. Aiden really liked squeezing the icing, also.

Grandma and Grandpa came up this year to celebrate with us. It was so nice to have them with us.

I think this picture captures the JOY of Christmas!!
Aiden had so much fun opening all his presents.
He was one spoiled little boy!

The boys looked so cute in their matching shirts.
They wouldn't cooperate for pictures, though!! Like Father, Like son!

Can you say Griswold? This is only PART of dad's light display. He has become the talk of the town. Rumor has it he will have competition next year!!

FUR-ever friends!

O Come All Ye Faithful

Only 5 days to Christmas! I can hardly believe how fast it has come this year. I've been really excited this year; decorating early, shopping early, counting down the days, spreading Christmas cheer...but last week I got in a funk. Not really sure why.

I was coming back from Church today, and heard a familiar song. It struck a cord with me, in a way it had not, before. I'll share them with you. I truly feel God was speaking to me in that moment; calling me to come and behold my King! Some how over the past week I lost sight of what this upcoming week is truly about. My prayer for you this week is that you hear a song, read a bible verse, or hear a gentle word from a friend, and know that it is God's peace being spoken just for you.

O Come, All Ye Faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, to Bethlehem,
Come and behold him,
Born the King of Angels!
O come, let us adore him
Jesus the Lord.

Sing, choirs of Angels
sing in Exaltation
sing all ye citizens of Heav'n
Glory to God-
Glory in the Highest!
O come, let us adore him,
Jesus

Come and Behold him
Born the King of Angels

Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to thee be all glory giv'n;
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing,

O come, let us adore him

Its Christmas!

Mom wondered if I was blogging anymore. I signed on today and my background was still Thanksgiving turkeys!!! So I'm a little behind...oh well! Here are some fun pictures of the last few weeks/months.

Say Cheese!

One of the joys of having Aiden around is learning about all of those boy things...trucks, tractors, plows, and John Deer Gator 4-wheelers!

All the grandkids have their hand and foot-prints on the wall at grandma's house. Aiden and Jessica have been added to the wall! Aiden thought this was lots of fun!!

Liberal is home of the Mid-America Air Museum. Since Aiden has shown and interest in planes this year we thought it would be fun to take him...he had a good time. Yes, thats my dad sitting in the plane! I kinda think dad had a little too much fun!!!

The boys!

Santa came to John Deer dealership this past weekend. The middle pic is of Aiden with grandma Hatfield (on a Gator)!

Merry Christmas!
I managed to get Aiden to sit for a second so I could get this picture. He would sit and jump up really fast and run off. He looked at me with those sweet blue eyes and said, "Aiden funny"! He was onry! But we'll let him think he's funny.

Weekend part 2

I went home last week for a few days. I had a wonderful time playing with Aiden! I don't think I've read quite so many books in such a long time!! Boy does that kid like to read a good book, and he sure has lots of good ones to pick from! I've posted some pictures of our fun times. Now I can see why mama and papa have such a wonderful time staying home with Aiden!!

Aunt Amanda's little spook! Aiden was so excited when he discovered that he glowed in the dark!! "I glowed" he kept saying.
It's always fun when Aunt Amanda comes home...she brings fun things. This time Aiden got his Halloween Spook bag!

We also decorated cupcakes. Aiden got to put the sprinkles and pumpkins on. The table was covered in sprinkles when he got done, and he simply stated, "Aiden makes mess!"

This was Aiden's first time at the Museum. There were all kinds of fun things to look at: a buffalo, "hot rod" as he called it (it was an old Model T car), a combine, and the first helicopter. Aiden wasn't too sure of it at first, but decided he wanted to push the button that made the blades spin around...he thought that was pretty neat!

We also went to story hour. This was something mom did with us growing up, and its neat to see she is continuing this with Aiden. Every Friday they go listen to a story, do a craft project, and get to pick out books!! Aiden is getting to meet a lot of new little people, and he plays really well with them. Here is a short video clip of Tim reading a story to Aiden. We're thinking Aiden will never use the potty...and this book was perfect to read to him!

Weekend part 1

Here's how I like to spend my weekends!!

It was Aiden's first time at the Sternberg museum. The big dinos were a bit scary.

He loved sitting on the spider and playing in the play room.

We dug for fossils, looked at fossils, and learned all about dinosaurs.
The Gittinger Family!

After the museum, uncle Brandon (Jessica's Brother) came over to play

On Sunday, Pappa and Grandma came to see us.
We walked down the street to the spook house!

Aiden and Pappa played with hotwheels. Pappa and Aiden measured the cars...they were "7", according to Aiden!

Then Dad got to open his birthday gifts. His birthday was on 10-10-10!!

Aiden also got his halloween costume...he is "Scooby". He was pretty excited.

Here are a couple cute videos. The first is Aiden wishing Pappa a Happy Birthday. The second is of Aiden in the discovery play room at the museum...he wasn't sure what to think of the snake!

Next week I'll be in MO with Lac and her family...Hope I have more fun pics to post when I get back!!

It was a busy weekend at the Gittinger Household! In Goodland it was the Flatlander Fall Fest. This comes with a Carshow down town, a tractor pull, races, and a parade up and down main street. Of course Tim made sure Aiden took in most of the festivities...he is such a good daddy!! Here's some pictures of our fun weekend.
Aunt Amanda found these fun Jello molds at great-grandma's house. Aiden loved his jiggler cars!
Here's Aiden with mommy and daddy at the parade. Aiden loved watching the cars go up and down main street. Uncle Bob even had his car in the parade.
Time for family pics! Great-grandma and Great-grandpa came to see us this weekend, too! Aiden loves all the extra attention.
It was so nice on Sunday we played out side. Aiden and Aunt Amanda played baseball. Aiden played in the rocks, and then we tried to take more pictures. As you can tell, someone didn't want their picture taken!!
Before lunch Aiden and Great-grandma went for a walk. I think this is just such a sweet picture!

Tim is teaching Aiden how to count. He's doing a pretty good job; he can nearly count to 10! Here's a cute video of him trying to count.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, too!
